North Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada – North Lake Tahoe celebrates its long winter season with SnowFest, a 10-day event and one of the region’s most beloved annual family celebrations. SnowFest is scheduled for March 3 – 13, 2016 and will be held at a variety of venues throughout North Lake Tahoe.

SnowFest is celebrating its 35th year and is expecting to draw thousands of attendees, with the majority of events being free to spectators. The annual favorites are back including but not limited to The Opening Ceremonies, Queen Coronation, Fireworks, Dog-Pull, The Polar Bear Swim, Rib Cook Off, and The Great Ski Race.   In addition, the annual parades will be held in Tahoe City and in Kings Beach.

Opening Ceremonies and coronation of the SnowFest Queen will take place at Gar Woods on Thursday, March 3rd.   Fireworks will be held at Squaw Valley on Saturday, March 5th.
