Granlibakken has great food. From our hot buffet breakfast included with all direct reservations served daily, to our conference meal plans that offer a variety of different options to suit even the most discerning diner, we pride ourselves on serving amazing meals. However, it is not often that we get the opportunity to win awards for our food, and the Autumn Food & Wine Festival is something our staff always looks forward to--as both a challenge and a chance to showcase our amazing food. All resort guests who book direct with Granlibakken can enjoy breakfast each day as part of their lodging package. Our seasonal sled and ski hut serves a variety of food from fresh coffee and pastries to mexican food to burgers from the grill. Beer and wine available.

Ski and Snowboard Hill
You can ski or ride right out your back door at Granlibakken Tahoe. Our intimate ski hill is perfect for beginner through intermediate skiers and snowboarders, with rental shop, ski school, and warming hut on the premises. Rental shop and warming hut are open daily, all season. The ski hill and ski school are open Friday-Monday throughout the season, and daily during the winter season and during holiday periods.
Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
Granlibakken offers plenty of Sierra terrain to explore. Enjoy the trails around Granlibakken’s 74-acre resort or head up to Paige Meadows to experience Tahoe’s backcountry. Guests have easy access to popular cross-country trailheads which provide miles of ungroomed Lake Tahoe skiing and snowshoeing terrain. Equipment rentals are available at our rental shop.
Our warming hut is open 7 days a week to help keep the chill off. A 1.5-mile trail around the property and an access trail to Paige Meadows is groomed (flat-groomed, without stride-skiing tracks) when the weather and snow conditions permit.
Sledding
All sledding tickets must be purchased online. There will be 1 1/2 hour time blocks for customers with 30 minutes between blocks to clear the hill. The time blocks will be 8:30 am to 10:00 am, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
Customers may not bring their own sleds or saucers, they will be provided by Granlibakken. No more than two (2) sleds or saucers linked together on the sled hill. Parents who choose to sled down with their children are recommended to have each person on their own saucer.
