Owner and artist Anke Hass is primarily a teaching artist-in-residence in the Truckee and Tahoe Community. She serves Arts for the Schools, a local non-profit advocate for the arts. During the summer and winter season she is also an artist in residence for Martis Camp, a renowned golf resort in Truckee. The Sierra College, Truckee Donner Park and Recreation District hire her as a creative instructor for community education purposes. Besides teaching visual arts her own work focus is on oils and pencils. Her educational background is Communication and Design. After having earned her degree at Bergische University, Germany, she immigrated to the US and started her art career in Truckee in 1997.
