WHO WE ARE
The Tahoe North Visitors & Convention Bureau is a division of the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association.

A Lead Service – Meeting planners call, fax or email their specs, and we inform all North Lake Tahoe conference properties about their request the same day. This is a FREE service. Meeting planners negotiate directly with our facilities; we save them the time of contacting each property directly.

NORTH LAKE TAHOE – FACT & FIGURES
More than 30 meetings sites in both California and Nevada

An easy accessible mountain destination, North Lake Tahoe is just 45 minutes from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport. The Airport hosts over 200 flights daily from major cities. Many transportation companies offer limousine, van and shuttle service.

Year-round recreation – from the largest concentration of ski resorts in North America to 30+ championship golf courses, North Lake Tahoe can’t be beat. There’s also snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking, sailing, cultural events, and much more.

Number of rooms – 6,800 including condos.

Total meeting space – 150,000 square feet.

Sales tax – both Placer (CA) and Washoe (NV) County are 7.25 percent.

Room tax – Placer County (Lake Tahoe Region) is 10 percent, Washoe County is 12 percent.

Value season – Fall and spring

PROPERTY RENOVATIONS
Granlibakken Conference Center – Tahoe City, CA
In 1999 opened a Business Center, giving clients access to email, Internet, scanner, fax and copy services. Also opened new pool, hot tub, sauna and clubhouse. Recently acquired ISDN Line, giving clients quick access to the Internet during meetings.
Opened Executive Lodge in 1995 – accommodations up to 75.

Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn – Olympic Valley, CA
Adding 22-bedroom condo unit, breaking ground in near future. Recently added a full breakfast menu to their restaurant, served 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. year-round.

Resort at Squaw Creek – Olympic Village, CA
In 1998 renovated suites and penthouses, and finished standard guestrooms. Undergoing $3 million dollar spa remodel and expansion. Installed a new property management system to provide more efficient service. Installed the Smart Card in the guest tower and all conference rooms. Future projects: final phase of guest room renovation – furniture upgrades and interior design modifications. Construction of new main entrance to Glissandi Restaurant.

Tahoe Biltmore – Crystal Bay, NV
In 1999 remodeled Nevada Room to offer chapel, meeting and event space – accommodates up to 450.

Squaw Valley Lodge – Olympic Valley, CA
In 1999 refurbished lobby – “Old Tahoe” charm (stone fireplace, high ceilings, and exposed wooden beams).
