The 7th Annual Lake Tahoe Dance Festival brings the finest works of dance from the past and future to the shores of Lake Tahoe, July 24th – 26th.

Works by Jacopo Godani, Agnes de Mille, Constantine Baecher, Katherine Duke, Traci Finch and Roya Carreras danced by artists from Jacopo Godani – Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, Erick Hawkins Dance, New Chamber Ballet, Lake Tahoe Dance Collective, The Suzanne Farrell Ballet and The Metropolitan Opera presented in one of the most beautiful settings in the world.

Now in its 7th year, the festival has presented over 35 works with more than 25 guest artists and 44 local dancers since its beginnings in 2013. This year’s festival honors Katherine Duke, now Artistic Director of the Erick Hawkins Dance Company. Duke made her professional debut with the company in 1986 under Hawkins’ direction, and still performs his works today while also keeping his legacy and work alive.

The 2019 Festival also features a rare performance excerpt of Agnes De Mille’s final work “The Other”, staged by Diana Gonzalez-Duclert, who originated the role. The final pas de deux of the ballet, to Franz Shubert’s Du bist die Ruh, will be danced by Stephen Hanna and Abi Stafford of New York City Ballet.
